Participation in the international conference SSA 2023 Future Directions: Physics-Based Ground Motion Modeling

The international conference SSA 2023 Future Directions: Physics-Based Ground Motion Modeling was held in Vancouver, Canada from October 10 to October 13, 2023. The conference was organized by the Seismological Society of America in collaboration with the Seismological Society of Japan. Through eight different sessions a total of 48 oral presentations and 90 posters were delivered on the topic of physics-based and empirical ground motion modeling. Members of DuFAULT research team also participated in this scientific conference, presenting their work done in collaboration with Dr. Irene Molinari from Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Bologna. They initiated this collaboration during Helena's professional training in May (more about the visit to the INGV can be read on the link):
