On Monday, February 15, 2021, a four-year-long research project of the Croatian Science Foundation called Characterization and monitoring of the Dubrovnik fault system- DuFAULT (IP-2020-02-3960) began, with the head researcher doc. dr. sc. Josip Stipčević. The project will be mostly carried out by seismologists from the Geophysical Institute of Andrija Mohorovičić, Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb in cooperation with seismologists from the Seismological Service from the same department and geologists - seismotectonics from the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, University of Zagreb.
