On October 14, 2024, Helena Latečki defended her doctoral dissertation titled 'Seismic shaking scenarios for the wider Dubrovnik area' before a committee composed of Prof. Emeritus Marijan Herak, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Josip Stipčević, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Davor Stanko, Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb.
The research provides an analysis of the application possibilities of numerical simulation methods in the wider Dubrovnik area, which is among the seismically most active regions in Croatia, and was conducted within the framework of the DuFAULT project.
